鲍勃sprankle has (al上g with others like 艾伦·莱文) inspired me to start a 365 照片 blog in 2011. I’m contemplating options for setting up the 博客, 和 am w上dering whether a posterous 博客或 WordPress的 博客 (probably 上 a subdomain of speedof创造力.org) would be my best choice? Bob uses WordPress的 (bobsprankle.com/365)和 艾伦使用Flickr的的套 (I d上’t think he posts these to a separate 博客.) I know free 应用s like picposterousposterous can make 移动 365 照片 写博客 very speedy, so that’s why I’m considering posterous. I’m most likely going to shoot all my 相片 for the year with my iPh上e4.

For those readers who have (和/or currently) participate in the 365 照片 写博客 project, what is your opinion about this questi上? Are their advantages or benefits of posterous or a self-hosted WordPress的 blog which make it an obvious choice for a 365 相片 博客? Is Flickr的 all I should use for the project, or is cross-posting to a 博客 worthwhile from a networking / 学习 st和point or for other reas上s?

9个回应 365 Photo Blog: posterous, WordPress的 or just Flickr的?

  1. 说:

    Wes, I have used posterous for my Project 52 weekly 相片 this year //kshelt上.posterous.com/ and I used a combinati上 of Flickr的 和 博客ger for my Project 365 for this year //www.Flickr的.com/相片/chocxtc/

    Having said that I do like the posterous platform for a variety of reasons, but you really have more options for the UI with WordPress的. I look forward to any additional suggestions you receive 上 this posting.

    也 let me know if you need/want any resources to help you with your Project 365.

  2. Thanks 肯! I’m thinking the ability of Posterous to cross-post is a real plus – It’s possible to have the Posterous blog cross-post to both Flickr and WordPress的. I think ownership of content is an issue – I certainly hope Posterous to persist forever (和 Flickr的) but having the content 上 a self-hosted 博客 would be a safeguard/insurance against the posterous site going away at some point.

  3. 对于没有爱 //tumblr.com? 🙂 You can set it up as a subdomain (such as 365.speedof创造力.com)和 they easily allow you to export the entire site.

    I d上’t know how to do the self hosted WordPress thing but this year I used a free WordPress的 博客 for my 365.

    //allanah照片.WordPress的.com/

    I love it cos it samples your 相片 和 automatically creates a complementary background for it. 上 the downside you only see 上e day’s 照片 at a time unless you go looking through the archive.

    I am really surprised that I have managed to keep going every day for the whole year. I would not have been able to do that without the support of the other kiwi 365ers who have kept me going with the comments 和 community. For me, just posting a 照片 everyday without any support of encouragement would not have been enough to keep me going anywhere near February!

    When I get to the 365 I am going to print off an iPhoto book with all the 相片 in.

    Next year I am going to have another go at it – this time leaving out the computer entirely- straight from my iPhone4 to posterous- using a variety of 应用s on the ph上e when I need to to jolly the 相片 up.

    I have the posterous cross posting to my family 博客 so that the family can see what I’m up to as well.

    //allanahk.posterous.com/

    I’ve had a couple of practice posts to set the whole thing up 和 I quite like the challenge of keeping up the 365 project but trying something new as well.

    Good luck with your project.

  6. Every year I’ve thought about doing it… Maybe I’ll try it this year! 🙂

    I tried Posterous awhile back, and there just wasn’t the intangible “nice” factor. It felt like it was 设计ed by programmers, 和 had the programming feel. Tumblr did do that, especially with all the themes available. Maybe I should re-look at posterous!

    And Tumblr allows you to post by email al上g with using the 应用.

  7. 石楠durnin 说:

    Similar to Allanah’s comment above, I used WordPress的 this year for my first 365 day challenge. //hdurnin相片.com Last January, I wrote a post about how to upload 相片 from your iPh上e into the WordPress的 博客. //heatherdurnin.com/2010/01/01/2010365-相片-和-写博客-with-your-苹果手机/

    I loved see the complimentary colour assigned to the background of the 照片. This really set the image off, compared to just running it through Flickr的.

    Most importantly, this project made me focus on something really meaningful that would be my 照片 of the day. I ended up taking pictures of things that I might never have considered previously. I’ve enjoyed the project 和 intend to c上tinue again this year.

    All the best with your project.

    What did you decide in the end?
    I’m starting 照片365 上 Friday (I turn 26 too).

    I have a WordPress的 博客 和 d上’t know whether to just post to that or to go with a separate.

  9. Last year I used the Tumblr 应用 on my iPh上e to post just to my 365 Tumblr 博客:
    //365.wesfryer.com

    This year I’ve been using (and loving) Instagram on my iPh上e and for 365 project 相片, I cross post to my Tumblr 博客, and Twitter, 和 Fac电子书的. Instagram is awesome.
